SALES MANAGER - TEXAS

Purpose Statement:
Sell products and services in a specified channel, region or distributor account. Provide ongoing support to assigned distributors or customers.

Reporting Relationships:
Reports to Director of Business Development

Core Responsibilities: (not intended to be all inclusive)

  • Assist resellers with account forecasting, sales strategies, territory planning, inventory analysis, and administrative responsibilities
  • Collaborating with education and marketing, deliver sales product orientation and training programs to Distributor Store Managers, DSCs, and other CND customers
  • Research market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates along with Sales Director
  • Develop and deliver exclusive promotions, pricing and presentations to close sales; ensure that all promos and pricing follow company approval process
  • Research, develop and maintain short and long term customer specific sales and marketing plans
  • Develop and maintain cooperative and professional communications with all staff levels and customers
  • Manage distributor tradeshow participation to meet ROI targets
  • Maintain customer data including store locations and contacts in salesforce.com
  • Assist in recruiting and mentoring education ambassadors to insure optimal results
  • Provides Forecasting by account regarding normal flow and promotions
  • Incorporates account insight in launches/promotions forecasted by Marketing
  • Manages forecasting discrepancies
  • Ensures forecast accuracy and inventory level targets are met

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of sales management methods, practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of retail, distributor, and merchandising practices
  • Knowledge of industry competitors and trends
  • Strong skills in oral and written communications, and developing and delivering effective sales presentations with the demonstrated ability to persuade, influence and impact others
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency with Windows, MS Office and email
  • Ability to work with a variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds


Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 2 - 3 years field merchandising, training, or sales experience in non-durable consumer goods industry
  • Professional beauty product experience preferred
  • Financial analysis and budget management experience 


Licensing/Certification/Registration:
A valid Driver’s License is required and must be maintained.

Work Environment:
Ideal candidates would be located in Texas.
