September 8th…Day 1 of S/S 2012 Fashion Week!
NYC is the place to be this week. It’s Fashion Week and for us at CND…it’s an especially important week since it’s our 15-year anniversary of doing runway shows for the best American designers. We earned this place by creating beautiful, chic and refined nail fashion for designers when nails weren’t back stage at all! It turns out that nails have a critical place in the total look, as they accessorize in a way a belt or shoe can’t. Nails are a part of a woman’s expression…a perfectly appointed hand that becomes a part of the conversation. Nails are an element of style that can perfect a look with elegance and edge. The best part is women everywhere can have them….gorgeous, stylish nails at an affordable price. I like to say it’s the ultimate cheap thrill! So…let’s get this week kicked off with great ideas that will thrill women everywhere!
Kevork is a craftsman and artisan and his wife Fanny is as delicate and fierce as a woman muse could be. Together they bring their design vision to life for their interpretation of ‘Sumatra’, a new experience of Culture, Flora and Fauna.
Son of chief sewer for French design house ‘Lanvin.’Sweet, thoughtful and cerebral, the designer and his wife are elegant and gorgeous inside and out!
‘Creen’ is the new color in the ‘underworld of Kevork’…a nature-inspired olive green washed down with rich cream…then magically spiked with acid flashes of hallucinogenic fuchsia.
The nail trend:
‘Organitech’. Lovely fuchsia flora and mossy fauna prints were complemented with ‘Iced Sand’ nail finishes that were a futuristic-twist on nude. Flashes of ice, green-flash and metallic shine on nature-made sandstone.
Get the look:
Thin Brisa Gel enhancements in short soft, organic ovals with one coat of Desert Suede, one coat of Jade Shimmer, one coat of Washed Down White and a final glossy coat of Air Dry high shine top coat.
Day is still young…may the CND force be with you! Fashion’s Night out will get a major ‘SHELLACKING’ …our Shellac mobile manivan is in front of Philip Lim on Mercer Street. A CND team is Shellacking away at the Malandrino store’s Fashion’s Night Out party in the Meat Packing district…and Shellac ads are flashing on Times Square Jumbo Tron!!
