Go figure – the week has been sunny, clear and gorgeous here in NYC…easy to get around, good hair days for sure…then, THE day two important shows plan outdoor presentations…it RAINS!!! The first was Malandrino, where I made it to the Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center and went backstage. Once again, Catherine Malandrino produced a beautiful collection filled with hand-crafted, timeless pieces including burned-out leather T-shirts, easily-draping trousers, beaded and embroidered details, and accessories highlighted with over-the-knee snake gladiator sandals. Strong and exotic in every which way. The beauty look included sleek hair, bronzy make-up and beautiful warm nail color in a sun washed shade of ‘Desert Suede’ and finished in ‘Super Matte.’
Like finely tanned suede in effortless camel, it doesn’t get easier, or more livable. P.S. – When it was time to present the outdoor collection, the rain stopped. After the show was over, the rain came back. Good karma!
