Kevork Kiledjian has had commercial success with a cult following in Paris and select boutiques around the U.S.  His father was a sewer for Lanvin and his mother an architect.  He has an inherent sense of fit and structure…mixed with rocker cool styling, an edge that makes him unique and a designer to watch.  This […]

Catherine Malandrino – Cement Violet Haze

Day 4 begins at the Catherine Malandrino Show!  The story captures the spirit of simplicity and sophistication of a woman exploring the romance of Paris ….and the rhythm of NYC.  This woman is street smart, alluring and artistic.  She has a style of her own…which includes luxurious fur, floppy suede hats, high-waisted 70′s wide-legged pants […]

Behnaz Sarafpour – Tough As Nails!

This season, Behnaz Sarafpour designed a stunning shoe with Manolo Blahnik that has a deeply arched black patent toe, rimmed with a transparent edge that exposes ‘illegal’ toe cleavage and a snip of perfectly polished toes…THIS is the inspiration for MY FAVORITE nail of all time!!!  A sleek, pointed almond, with a black patent base […]

Altuzarra – Opposites Do Attract!

Altuzarra IS the up-and-coming hot ticket in town. We felt like we were in Vegas to see a boxing match as the young and the beautiful pushed and shoved for a glimpse of the runway looks from their front row seats. All to be the first to see what’s next, what’s hot and what’s new […]

Ruffian – Tuxedo Park

The Ruffian show paid homage to the tuxedo, which was actually considered a more relaxed uniform in the 1800′s. Ruffian took elements of this “semi-formal” look for a redux-extraordinaire! The mix of masculine and feminine, aristocrat and rebel, and punk and princess became the building blocks of their collection, called “Tuxedo Park.”

Costello Tagliapietra – Electric Orange and Cool Mint

Costello Tagliapietra’s muse this season was a Charlie’s Angel set in the 60′s. The beauty look was big, teased and flowing hair (complete with “wings”), lips in bold fiery red, and eyes shadowed in a gorgeous turquoise. Dresses with blouson sleeves, and swingy below the knee skirts belted at the waist eased down the runway.
